Cold Laser Therapy: A Hair Growth Option for Both Men and Women

While low-level laser therapy lacks general understanding, it does demonstrate effectiveness on hair loss; otherwise, it wouldn’t have remained popular until today. Until scientists completely understand the principles of photo-biology, laser therapy or phototherapy at large will remain outside mainstream science.

Low level laser presents the qualities opposite to a hot laser or a high-level laser. LLL is a cold or soft laser that can render only up to a hundred watts or less. Aside from the fact that they are coherent-thus easily manipulated-cold lasers do not possess the component to produce heat, sound, or vibration which is why they are used to serve a curative purpose.

Low-level laser therapy is the application of low-level lasers to serve a therapeutic purpose, in this case, to treat hair loss. Traditionally, LLLT has been in use for treating mild pains, skin diseases, and neurological conditions.

It was a Hungarian physician, Dr. Endre Mester, who discovered the therapeutic potential of low-level lasers for hair loss in the 1960s. He noted that treated areas have experienced thicker hair growth compared to the controlled area.
